| laid back atmosphere, to frantic and

| | than I had bargained for. Even in the

| noisy Rome, with its carefree and yet

| | Vatican there were thousands of images of
|
| devout attitude to life. We took in the
| |
| | the wise serpent. In St Peter's the very
|
| cosmopolitan Malta - a mixture of
| |
| | columns were topped with winged snakes.
|
| medieval Europe's greatest minds and
| |
| | In Malta, I found the imagery of St
|
| artistic flare - and saw for ourselves
| |
| | Paul's supposed contact with the serpent
|
| the serpentine temples of Mnadjra and the

| | cults and visited the ancient megalithic

| time capsule of crusader Mdina. We
| |
| | monuments erected by serpent cults. In

| climbed mountains in Cyprus to discover

| | Egypt, I saw first hand the mysterious

| Orthodox Greek Cypriot Churches with

| | images of snakes, which are simply
|
| their incredible iconography. On to
| |
| | everywhere and in South America I enjoyed
|
| Egypt, with its ancient and sacred
| |
| | the warm embrace of the serpent cults
|
| secrets, locked up in images that play
| |
| | descendants who still live and work in
|
| mysterious tricks upon the mind. From
| |
| | the remote areas.But this is a new life
|
| there we flew across the vast oceans to
| |
| | for me and my co-author, Gary Osborn,

| America, where we met up with the North

| | because neither of us have ever been big
